Front-load and top-load Samsung washing machine repair for Surrey and the surrounding cities

Samsung is one of the most common washer brands in Lower Mainland homes, from front-load WF models and FlexWash units to top-load WA machines and the stacked laundry pairs found in townhouses and condos. Amar Appliance Repair works on all of them across Surrey and the surrounding cities.
Samsung washer error codes and what they usually mean
Codes vary slightly by model year. The meanings below are summarized from Samsung owner manuals; check your own manual for the exact list.
- 4C, 4E, nF: no or slow water fill. Taps, inlet hoses, hose screens or the water inlet valve.
- 5C, 5E, nd: not draining. Debris filter, drain hose, drain pump.
- UE, UB: unbalanced load. Redistribute the load first; repeated codes point to suspension rods or shock absorbers.
- dC, dE, dE1: door not locked, or a door switch fault.
- OE, OF: overflow. An inlet valve staying open, or the pressure sensor.
- LC, LE: leak detected in the base. Door boot, drain pump, hoses.
- tC, tE: water temperature sensor.
- 3C, 3E: motor or hall sensor.
- HE, HC: heater circuit.
- SUD, 5UD: too much detergent foam. Use less HE detergent; a persistent code can be the pressure sensor.
- AC, AE: communication error between boards.
- PF: power failure during a cycle; usually clears with a restart.
Symptoms without a code
Will not drain or spin
A blocked debris filter or drain pump is the most common Samsung fault we see. On front-load models the filter is behind the small door at the bottom front. If the pump runs but nothing moves, the impeller or pump motor has failed.
Loud banging or grinding in spin
Worn drum bearings or a cracked spider arm on front-load machines, worn suspension rods on top-loaders. Bearings are a bigger job; we tell you what the repair involves against the age of the machine before you decide.
Leaking
Door boot gasket, drain pump housing, inlet valve or a split hose. Where the water appears, front, back, or only during spin, tells us most of the story.
Door will not open or lock
Door lock assembly, latch, or a drain fault that leaves water in the drum so the lock refuses to release.
Musty smell
Mould in the door boot and dispenser. A cleaning cycle and a gasket clean help; a badly stained boot gets replaced.
Stops mid-cycle or will not start
Door lock, main control board, noise filter, or a supply issue. We test rather than guess.
Before you call
- Clean the debris filter and check the drain hose for kinks.
- Make sure both taps are fully open and the hose screens are clear.
- Level the machine and try a small load to rule out balance.
- Note the code on the display and the model number inside the door.
