AMAR APPLIANCE REPAIR SERVICE
LG Washer Repair in Surrey
LG front-load, top-load and WashTower washing machine repair for Surrey and the surrounding cities

LG washers use a direct-drive motor with no belt, which keeps them quiet until the day the drum bearings or the rotor sensor give out. The WM front-loaders, the WT top-loaders and the stacked WashTower are all common in Surrey homes and condos. Amar Appliance Repair services LG washers across Surrey and the surrounding cities.
LG error codes and what they usually mean
Summarized from LG owner manuals.
- OE: not draining. Drain pump filter, hose, or the pump itself.
- IE: no water coming in. Taps, hoses, screens, inlet valve.
- UE, uE: unbalanced load. Redistribute; repeated codes mean suspension or levelling.
- LE: motor locked. An overloaded drum, a failed hall sensor, or the motor.
- dE, dE1, dE2: door not closed, or a door lock fault.
- FE: overfilling. Inlet valve or pressure sensor.
- tE: water temperature sensor.
- PE: water level pressure sensor.
- CE: motor overcurrent.
- AE: leak detected in the base.
- PF: power interruption during the cycle.
- CL: child lock is on; not a fault.
- SUD: excess foam.
Symptoms without a code
Will not drain
The drain pump filter behind the lower front panel catches coins, hair pins and lint. When it is clear and the machine still will not drain, the pump has failed.
LE on a machine that is not overloaded
The hall sensor on the back of the motor is the usual culprit and is an inexpensive part; a rotor with cracked magnets or a stator fault comes next.
Roaring or knocking in spin
Drum bearings and the spider arm on front-loaders. This is the repair where age and cost matter most, and we walk you through it before you decide.
Leaks
The door boot, the drain pump housing, the dispenser drawer overflowing from too much detergent, or an inlet valve.
Door will not unlock
Water left in the drum from a drain fault, or the door lock assembly itself.
Top-loader will not agitate
On WT models the rotor, the clutch assembly or the hall sensor. The motor rarely fails on its own.
Before you call
- Clean the drain pump filter and check the hose.
- Reduce the load and switch to a low-suds HE detergent dose.
- Turn off the child lock if CL is showing.
- Note the code and the model number inside the door.
