Whirlpool Washer Repair in Surrey

Whirlpool builds more of the washers in Canadian homes than any other company, under its own name and under Maytag, Amana, Inglis, Kenmore and Roper. The Cabrio and WTW top-loaders and the Duet and WFW front-loaders share platforms, parts and fault codes. Amar Appliance Repair services all of them across Surrey and the surrounding cities.

Symptoms without a code

Will not spin or agitate

On top-loaders the shifter and actuator, the splutch, the belt, the motor, or a lid lock that never confirms. On front-loaders the door lock or the motor control unit.

Will not drain

The drain pump, the coin trap or filter, or a blocked hose. Front-load Duets keep a filter behind the lower kick panel.

Grinding, roaring or banging in spin

Tub bearings and the tub seal on Cabrios, suspension rods on VMW top-loaders, shock absorbers and the spider arm on Duets.

Leaks

Inlet valves, the pump, the front-load door boot, or a split dispenser hose.

Stuck on sensing

Common on VMW top-loaders: the lid lock, a leaking pressure hose, or the control board.

Will not start

Lid switch or lock, the control board, or a supply issue at the outlet.

Before you call

  • Redistribute the load and try a drain-and-spin cycle.
  • Check the drain hose height and the inlet screens.
  • Unplug the machine for two minutes to clear a stuck control.
  • Note the code and the model number from inside the lid or door.
